Savinien sees events as a way of blending together his different interests and passions. He has directed and organized numerous complex events featuring cultural, political, corporate and academic participants, always bringing artistic affect and design sensibility to the subject matter. Notable events include the Innovation Summit for the USA Pavilion at Milan EXPO, “Architecture of Taste” with Pierre Hermé at the Harvard GSD and the Pratt Kitchen Pilot Event.
In 2018, he launched the “Pastry In Progress” event series with NeueHouse, a private members workspace based in New York and LA. The series leverages pastry’s history of tradition, experimentation, and spectacle – assembling distinct layers, textures, and narratives — to splice emotions, sensations, and pleasures into the space’s programming like scenes of a non-linear film.
